JIMI HENDRIX: Like a Rolling Stone--Dylan Cover

Excellent performance. Can see clearly where Mr. Prince Rogers Nelson got his a lot ideas for stage razz clothing from!

The first time I ever heard this, I was in a Rent-A-Center in Buffalo w/my Mom. I was about 11 or 12 at the time (41 now). They were playing it on one of their stereos ' radio. I was FROZEN cuz it was AWESOME!!!!! We couldn't leave the store until it was over!!! This song and his cover of "All Along The Watchtower" to me are the DEFINITIVE versions!!!! No disrespect to Bob Dylan. But MAN!!!!! I imagine if he had room to, he would've done a Dylan cover album, which woulda been THE BOMB!!!!!
cool cool cool

It was cool. I haven't heard Dylan do it live but I prefer Dylan's album version to this one. "All Along the Watchtower" is another story. Jimi kills that.

cool I have room for them both, Dylan and Jimi's versions. Jimi's version is bad ass.

If he sued Prince he would have to sue half a million people known and unknown lol But if u really understand his music you'll see that Jimi's intent was 2 get his music to all people everywhere, And as we can see 50 years after his death he did that and then some.....

In agreement with your statement, I have ALWAYS heard that Hendrix was actually very humble in regards to his talent. He never bragged about himself or demeand other players. Imppressive and rare in a world called music were there's nothing but outrageous ego!

And that's the double truth ruth!!!! lol As mush praise as his peers and fans gave him he gave even more 2 other musicians and has said that more than a few were BETTER than him. The other thing I loved about Jimi was that he listened 2 other musicians too. Next time you see his set at Monterey Pop listen close to Wild Thing when he riffs on "Strangers In The Night" smile
