Me'Shell and Prince - serendipity! I did this by accident, put Me'Shell's Tie One One as the first track of a mix CD, follwed by P's new Cause and Effect. I hadn't even heard her song, but downloaded it free from iTunes (Starbucks freebie, I know, I know, I'm just a casual fan).
What happens is in her song, you get this cool, ethereal sounding "Are you here?" repeated, and when that fades, you get Prince announcing..."I am here...Where are U?" at the beginning of Cause and Effect. I love when that happens. I do a song sequence purely based on my gut, and when I listen back my instinct is affirmed by some coincidence like this. Freezer burn.
