Pumpkins Unveil Free Download of New Track, "A Stitch in Time"

March 3, 2010

Billy Corgan’s Smashing Pumpkins have unveiled “A Stitch in Time,” the third track from the 44-song project Teargarden by Kaleidyscope, on Soundcloud and the band’s official Website, where the song — like its Teargarden predecessors — is available as a free download.

As Rolling Stone previously reported, the Teargarden project will yield 11 four-song limited edition EPs, and upon the album’s complete rollout, the entire Teargarden will be released as a whole. Along the way, Corgan will unleash each song from Teargarden as a free download.

I'm so digging all this new stuff. So much wasted years and time with all that solo stuff. Even if he's doing this alone it has such a different soul than all that other weirdness he was going on about.

agreed. i'm still not hearing any of those great mindtick melodies
or great poetic lyrics but he's a big step closer to it than he's
been in a decade. the music sounds healthy and breezy again. this
is a project i'll be watching unfold with great pleasure.
