Great tune. Great album. Been a fan of Saisse for years. Love his early productions for people like Chaka and David Sanborn. "Kinetic Groove" from Halfway Til Dawn is another favorite tune of his.

I'm curious, paligap... do you know where I can track down this 6 minute version of Me & the Boyz? The album version says it's this version by time display (on the case), but it's actually only a 4:30 minute version.

I noticed that,too-- The one I used is from the European/Japanese release of the album, which is called "Dreamcatcher" (that's a picture of it in the youtube video)--this has the original 6-minute version. On the US release, retitled "Masques", they cut it down to 4:30, but I'm not sure why. I have to compare the two track listing, I'm wondering if maybe they added a track to the US version, and had to edit this one...

Yeah, I figured it out after I asked. I hadn't ever seen that earlier version of the Masques album. I tracked down Dream Catcher last night. Most of the tracklisting is the same as Masques, but in a different order. Me & the Boyz and Masques were both edited down for the U.S. Masques release. All of the songs on Masques are on Dream catcher, except for Feelin' Kinda Sexy. Dream catcher has a few extra tracks that didn't end up on Masques -- Dream catcher, Crystal Flight and a short reprise of Images. Glad you posted this version of Me & the Boyz. I've always wondered why they had that misprinted time on Masques. Now I know why. My favorite track on that album... and I prefer this longer version. Thanks!

biggrin You're welcome, and Thank You -- now I know the difference between the two releases...I wonder why they left those cuts off, though...In fact, why rename it and edit it at all?
