Billy Idol 3 Fav Songs

"Hot in the City" is a 1982 song by Billy Idol, released on his self-titled album. It charted at #23 in the U.S. and #58 in the UK. A re-release of the song in the UK in 1988 reached #13.

"Dancing with Myself" is a song by the band Generation X released in 1981, from their album Kiss Me Deadly. It was one of their first true hit singles. At the time of its release, the band shortened their name to simply "Gen X." Also of note, the band contained only Billy Idol and Tony James from the original line-up. Idol went on to have great success with the single when he released a more pop friendly version on his first solo release, Don't Stop, which has less distortion on the guitar.

"Rebel Yell" is the second album by British punk rock artist Billy Idol, released in 1983. It was very successful with four singles on the U.S. Hot 100 charts, while the album reached #6 on the U.S. Billboard 200 album charts.

Interesting that you mentioned Billy Idol. I just won his remastered self-titled album on Twitter from Capital Records last week.

Good songs! Although I am so tired of "Mony, Mony" that I really don't want to hear it again, it's a good song, too.

The "Storytellers" he did with Steve Stevens is AWESOME. Here's "Flesh for Fantasy":

I like "Mony, Mony". It is a really good song, but I do agree with you, they played it way to much. I bet even Billy got tried of it. Yes, Steve Stevens is GREAT!!!.

"Eyes Without a Face" is a song by Billy Idol, co-written with guitarist Steve Stevens from Idol's 1983 album Rebel Yell. The song is softer and more ballad-like than most of the album's other singles.
