Seems the inclusion of Michael and the exclusion of Farrah Fawcett is causing a bit of a ruckus on several blogs. Whilst I do agree that Farrah Fawcett deserved her inclusion, many are trying to say that Michael wasn't worthy of being included.
What many fail to realise is that Michael had a long standing association with the Oscars dating back to 1973 with the nomination of Ben as Best Song. Although Michael wasn't up for nomination himself (the award goes to the writers) he did perform the song at the ceremony. Furthermore Michael appeared in several films in his career, most notably as one of the leads in The Wiz, and did many cameos including a spot in the blockbuster Men In Black II. Furthermore, "This Is It" has now officially become the the highest grossing documentary (not just musical documentary) and was one of last years major grossing films. Whilst I feel for the Farrah Fawcett fans and believe she should have been remembered, to say that Michael was not deserving is incorrect. Swa "I'm not human I'm a dove, I'm ur conscience. That developing mustache-shadow he used to have during the Victory era was cute, but actual hair like in those photos above just didn't suit his face, and he looked better without it. I guess he knew that as well.
I don´t like mustaches in general. I prefer bears, but not huge ones. I think Mike looked great like this. [Edited 3/3/10 23:44pm] [/quoteThanks for all of the great pictures....I thought I had seen them all ♥ Feeling Purple Rain...Don't hold on 2 the pain, hold on 2 the memories ♥

I didn't say Michael was fake don't get it twisted I wouldn't be a fan If I thought he was I'm just saying that when people were shocked to hear stories like this from him people already had a certain image of Michael. There was more to Michael then the child like image is what I'm trying to say . That's why I said I Believe some of it as far as him being that way but that wasn't his WHOLE being is what I mean. He just knew how to work the PR machine. Also, he was molded into that image from a child. I believe that he had childish qualities about himself, and worked it to his benefit. Isn't there a kid in all of us? I also believe that he had a natural affinity with children. Not only him, but some celebrities carry a certain facade about themselves that worked for them, for showbiz sake. If you knew them personally, then you know who they really are as opposed to what the public sees.

In fact I never had any pre-conceived notions about Michael. ^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^

I'm randomly listening to The Jacksons "Things I Do For You" and am I the only one that thinks MJ's verses are kind of subliminal shots at his family? I literally just noticed this.
People all over the world are the same everywhere I go I give in to this, I give in to that Every day it bothers me so Am I in a bad situation People taking me to the exteme Am I being used I just need a clue I don't know which way to go Always wanting something for nothing Especially what they don't deserve Reaching in my pocket I just got to stop it Even though they got a lot of nerve

Even though those things came in the later years, it seems like the lyrics told the future.

Hopefully the rumors of "Another Day" being the lead single for the new album are true. Anyone find an official article stating that? Will it really be "released" on the anniversary of his death? I hope not. That feels kinda bitter to me. I'd rather it be some random day, and have the album's release mark MJ's birthday.
Just finished watching my "This Is It" DVD a few minutes ago tonight, and it struck me when the last logo I saw was AEG, that, if these shows hadn't had happened Michael might still be alive. I hate that. MJ Fan 1992-Forever

"Human Nature" is such a beautiful song to listen to, especially late at night.
I miss knowing MJ is there, but as I look outside my window and see the street-lights, and hear Michael's voice, I know he isn't really that far away. Just look up to the sky, and I know he is up there somewhere. Likely hanging with James Brown or Brando. [Edited 3/11/10 23:57pm] MJ Fan 1992-Forever
