I have a fade that even get's extra announcement in the lyrics:
...We'd also like to add that we've now reached the three-and-a-half minute mark of this song. Radio stations may begin your fade here. For those that would like help, we will start your fade for you... {Fade} Beep ...Now if this records is being played a a club, disco, lounge, house basement, or block party, car stereo, stoop, or at any other social gathering, we will now allow the beat to continue, and proceed to give you more of what you like. This message has been brought to you by the makers of the way we swing, and the underground talkhowyalike posse. Vanglorious... this is protected by the red, the black, and the green. With a key... sissy!

The Smiths - Some Girls Are Bigger Than Others
This isn't even a fake fade out, it's a fake fade IN! Song fades in with a lovely guitar melody slowly revealing itself...then fades out again....and then back in and the song starts. What a load of nonsense. ALWAYS annoys me when I hear it. This is not an exit

I think its more of a 2 movement song than a "fake fade" Same with Superwoman(Where Were You When I Needed You). I definitely agree with you about Superwoman (Where Were You When I Needed You) as it had a transition and it had a segue-like vibe to it. Ordinary Pain, on the other hand, could've been just the soft and delicate first part, but when it goes off, here comes the hard and funky part with the girl giving Stevie the lowdown. It threw me off the first time I heard it... Check me out and add me on:
