It was very good. They showed the Dancing on the Ceiling vid from Lionel and James did his latest song and for his 2nd performance, they rebroadcast the clip where he sang 100 ways. They even played "Papa Don't Preach."

I will says the soul train dancers didn't seem to have much pep in their step

They played this episode on WGN a few years ago and I didn't care for it at all. It was the late 1980s and there were too many crossover pop songs being played. And when I saw what they played on the line dance, that was the last straw. I stopped my DVD from recording, took it out of the recorder, and threw it in the trash. lol

What is wrong with what they played in the line dance and what do you mean by crossover songs?

Lionel Richie, Madonna, I can't remember some of the others they played. I like those songs but they just ain't as hard and funky as the songs of the early 1980s. As for the line dance, go back and look who's singing the song. evillol I hope I'm not confusing this episode with another one from the late 1980s that I didn't like. The one that I slammed dunked the DVD into the trash can featured a Shitney Houston song in the line dance.
