i always have a hard time deciding which is my favourite Teena Marie song. "I Need Your Lovin'" or this one.... though i think i lean more towards "I Need Your Lovin'". either way...

I love Teena she is talented like a female Prince. I had the pleasure of meeting her last year.She is down to earth in person. She has stood the test of time and proven she was not just Rick James little play thing, like the remark Madonna made about her years ago. The girl is bad she once released two albums in one year. Lady T & Irons In The Fire in 1980  will ALWAYS think of  like a "ACT OF GOD"! N another realm. mean of all people who might of been aliens or angels.if found out that wasn't of this earth, would not have been that surprised. R.I.P. |

Madonna said WHAT? : When?A long time ago when Madonna first came on the scene. She was one of the few white artist like Teena back then to sing R&B music. In fact some people thought she was black. Well she was compared to Teena Marie. In an interview she was asked about the comparison. Her reply was "I'm my own artist and Teena is just Rick James little plaything that he created". I felt that was a big insult to Teena and a very nasty remark made by Madonna who has always been a producer driven artist herself. Even Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis said they refuse to work with her after that remark she made. will ALWAYS think of like a "ACT OF GOD"! [Edited 2/27/10 23:48pm] Its still inexcusable. Even though Madonna is excellent and a master at creating controversy to sell records & herself. Teena is more talented than her musically. So her saying that made it like Teena had no talent to be on her own. Madonna also made it like her & MJ was so close during her MTV Video Awards speech after he died. When actuality he couldn't stand her. will ALWAYS think of like a "ACT OF GOD"!
