The world of entertainment does not acknowledge sexual boundaries.
It's shouldn't surprise anyone when someone is "outted" in that industry.

The problem here isn't trannies or homosexuality, its the fact that these same dudes that sing or rap about being "real" are the same ones who aren't being real about their sexuality. That's what make these stories soo entertaining.

So, did everyone take my suggestion and read those two books? If so, what did you think?

Exactly. nod That is why I called them a bunch of sexual hypocrites. Some rap artists are quick to bash gay men but yet have absolute no problem having lipstick lesbians, bisexual women, AND trannies all in their music videos.

The headlines will read a snitching ass tranny named Nadia is MIA! no no no! The moral of the story will be "Don't kiss and tell".
A stupid man’s report of what a clever man says can never be accurate, because he unconciously translates what he hears into something he can understand.

The thought crossed my mind. Snitch or not, that would be so sad.sad
The thought that one would have someone killed rather than be honest about their sexuality is repulsive in so many ways. That is some deep rooted pathetic-ass self hatred right there.

Madonna wasn't exactly accused bi, she's been outright publicly sexual with other women. Don't forget she dated Ingrid Casares(who later became her best friend), and Sandra Berhnard, who has been less than kind in describing their relationship and subsequent break. In the beginning Sandra used to rail on Madonna, even using her an as acid-tongued laced punchline during her 90's music concert tours (as a lead in to singing D'angelo's "Sh*t, Da*m, Motherf***er! falloff)...Madge was always pretty open about the fluidity of her sexuality (back in the day).

Terrance Dean's New Hip-hop Memoir to Expose Rappers on the Down-low

If you thought the picture of rappers Lil Wayne and Baby kissing on the lips caused a stir in the hip-hop world, just wait till the book Hiding in Hip-Hop: Confessions of a Down Low Brother in the Entertainment Industry drops in 2008.

Written by former MTV producer Terrance Dean, Hiding in Hip-Hop has already lit up the internet -- no doubt with hot searches for sample chapters and excerpts from the memoir.

Already author of spiritually fluffy-sounding books Be Empowered: 30 Days of Meditation for Men of Color and Reclaim Your Power!: A 30-Day Guide to Hope, Healing, and Inspiration for Men of Color, Terrance Dean sold Hiding in Hip-Hop: Confessions of a Down Low Brother in the Entertainment Industry to Atria recently.

A Publishers Marketplace report titled "Publishers Lunch Deluxe: Lunch Weekly for Monday, January 29" gave this description of Terrance Dean's book deal:

"Terrance Dean's HIDING IN HIP-HOP: Confessions of a Down Low Brother in the Entertainment Industry, detailing the author's life as a closeted homosexual working in the film and music industry and his relationships with other closeted homosexuals -- film stars, rap artists, and music producers, to Krishan Trotman at Atria at auction by Karen E. Quinones Miller of Liza Dawson Associates. "

After the Hiding in Hip-Hop deal was officially announced, the net has exploded with folks hot on the trail for the names of those undercover famous people included in Dean's tell-all.

However, reports claim that Terrance Dean will not actually tell all in Hiding in Hip-Hop, and that Dean will not name names in his book, unlike his female
Hiding in Hip-Hop.predecessors, Karrine Steffans and Carmen Bryan.

Yet an Atria spokesperson has reportedly claimed that the real-life personas of down-low men that Dean describes in Hiding in Hip-Hop will be easy to decipher.

"Let's put it this way: You'll know who they are," she said, according to various online sources.

"It's a no-holds-barred look at Hollywood and hip-hop and who's living on the down-low."

And it hasn't stopped hip-hop heads from guessing and speculating all over the blogosphere, not only about which men will reportedly be included in Hiding in Hip-Hop, but women as well.

And it didn't stop this reporter from contacting Terrance Dean directly by email, requesting book excerpts or sample chapters from
Hiding in Hip-Hop. As soon as I receive a preview galley, sample chapters or book excerpts from Hiding in Hip-Hop, you'll be the first to know.

We're talking about gender, not sex, and there is a BIG difference between the two.

Of course a transsexual woman is biologically male. It's impossible to change that. But being male does not mean she is a man.

This is a bigger issue than just one transperson and who they did or did not fuck in the industry.

How dare you think you have the right to dictate what another person is and is not?

HOW DARE I??? U FUCKING SERIOUS??? First off you are doing exactly the same thing...dictating that someone is female when they are biologically male so slow your roll cuz you and only you are making this out to be some agenda type shit when all anybody is doing is talking about this particular tranny and the potential gossip he/she will spread about rappers! You got all offended cuz folk on here called Nadia a dude and honestly you shouldn't give a fuck because this is the org, this person has not impact or status here and this person is doing something that is potentially dangerous for herself and others. You ought to be more worried about whether one of these whack ass DL rappers does Nadia harm instead of tripping on whether somebody call Nadia a dude. Aint like he/she never heard such comments before.

Also, everybody knows that biological definitions and societal definitions are different but the reality is that people think of gender the same way they think of sex. In most people's minds man = man and woman = woman regardless of whether you say he or she and regardless of whether somebody took hormones and had certain parts added or removed. People will look at this tranny as a dude who got changed to look like a woman and therefore some folk will always refer to Nadia as him, he/she or even her and all references are correct given what Nadia is. The question is whether it's considerate and depending on the situation it can be considerate or inconsiderate. Like I said....the snitch aint here sooooo.....

I am saying this person is a woman because she identifies as a woman. You're the one trying to dictate a stranger's gender identity because you don't understand it.

It is disrespectful as shit to continue to refer to her as a he. That you do reflects incredibly poorly on you.

I refer to him as a he because that is truly what he is and I do so in this thread and this thread only since he is the subject at hand. I'm not saying I would call him a dude to his face, unless he opened the door for it. Of course I would call him girl to his face if it made him comfortable. Then again I might not consider his comfort seeing as how he is supposedly this self-proclaimed video ho about to out dudes on a reality show. shrug Like I said, just because somebody self-identifies as this or that doesn't change what they truly are - just like these rappers self-identify as straight when they are really gay and on the DL. And when it comes to talking about trannies, shit there isn't anything I could say that would reflect poorly on me. Last time I checked, gossiping trannies weren't high on the totem pole of respectability.

Damn hon let it go already.
You look like you are troll ing. It's as if you are trying to start shit where no shit need be started. This thread is not about bisexuals and trans people and for you to hold Nadia up as the be all end all poster child for that community is somewhat of an insult to them IMO.

OFF-TOPIC: Between you and me, I think Meow85 fancy trannies. That is THE only reason why he/she taking this thread true to heart. hmmm

Just saying.

BACK ON TOPIC: The main point of THIS thread that some people (besides Meow85) are overlooking is the fact that some rappers are hypocrites. How are they going to write rap lyrics that bashes gay men, yet also make up excuses for lesbians, all the while these same rappers are tranny hunting on a down low?!?

I'll never understand this bullshit at all! These rappers need to be ashame of themselves for bearing false witnessing to their own fanbases.
disbelief lol

Reminds me of these in-the-closet politicians who are against legislation to protect gays and lesbians.

This thread IS about a transperson.

I'm not trolling, but I am pretty upset that so much ignorance is just being let loose on this thread unchecked.

^ To Tony, while I've never personally encountered a trans person I found attractive, I wouldn't rule it out either.

The reason I'm getting upset is because some of the comments in here are pretty ignorant and hateful.
