Chantay Savage - I Will Survive

One of the few instances where the cover is better than
the original. I in fact can do without the original with
all due respect to Gloria Gaynor. Heard it on the radio
last night and it brought back memories. Chantay put her
foot in this one. music

THANK YOU! This is one of the best remakes I've ever heard. I've loved it since day one.

I don't know if it's better than the original, but I'm not tired of this one the way I am the Gloria Gaynor version. lol I've loved this remake since day one, even after seeing drag queen after drag queen tear their way through it.

"So long b-b-bye bye!"

I never said it was better than the original. I said it's one of the best remakes I've ever heard. Covers songs are a dime a dozen, but this one stands out as original, all over again.

I don't think he implied you made that comment. It was actually me
who stated that i enjoy the cover better than the original which
is very rare. He was more than likely referring to me.
lol
It wouldn't shock me at all if most like the original better.
Regardless of my take on the original it is still classic.

She did exactly what someone is supposed to do with a cover, make it your own. While this is not my favorite, it brought back memories. My favorite cover of all time is Third World's version of the O'Jay's classic, "Now that we've found love". That in my opinion, is the best cover that I have ever heard.
"Love is like peeing in your pants, everyone sees it but only you feel its warmth"

I didn't even read your response. I was referring to the original post.

Phunkdaddy - there are days when I like this one more, but mostly I am just sick to death of the original. lol

I would've appreciated her singing more if I didn't hate the song so damn much lol

But the girl does have a nice voice nod
