Aerosmith and KISS will tour together Aerosmith and Kiss will embark on a co-headlining North American tour beginning in August and running through October, sources confirm. The tour of approximately 40 dates will be produced by Clear Channel Entertainment and is expected to play 90% amphitheaters, with arenas and possibly a couple of stadiums also in the mix. Kiss will perform in full makeup, and Aerosmith will be touring in support of a new Columbia blues album. ---------------------------------

I doubt it'll last that long. Depends on who gets better reactions. If Kiss doesn't
they'll be gone faster than U can say "where's ACE ???" If Aerosmith's new LP is really a return to their roots ..then it might be cool to see just them. To see money hungry Gene and Bi-Paul WITHOUT Ace is a waste.

To see money hungry Gene and Bi-Paul WITHOUT Ace is a waste. They said all that return to our roots shit before then scrapped the whole album because it wasn't commercial enough, then turned out Nine Lives. Aerosmith are a fucking joke now. That whole conscious thing of returning to your roots is so contrived, they're only doing it because their fanbase has shrivelled because they release junk like Just Push Play and Get A Grip. In fact they should and give it up. What's the betting the new album has tailor made MTV ballads on it...

..to add to this is really sickens me when bands try to eye trends and become deliberately commercial to sell shedloads of records. It always backfire's and you lose your massive fanbase as the ones you gain from releasing commercial fluff aren't likely to hang around for long. Def Leppard did the same with Slang and attempted to go alt rock. It cost them big time, then they consciously decided to return to their old sound and the fans saw it as contrived and trying to recover. Once you sell out it's hard to gain that audience back. ACDC are one of the only bands of that type i can think of that haven't really sold out and tried to fit into current trends..and they still got respect...
