This album is notable for containing one of her WORST songs ever....the heavy metal track "Fool For Your Love",which is truly embarrasing.

but this album also contains one of BEST singles of the 80s....the smooth,well-crafted "Muscles",written and produced by Michael Jackson:

Kind of a cool album cover (even though she is white in it...what is Wharhol saying). I don't have this one but based on other eighties albums by Diana I bought, I wouldn't be in a rush to get it. "Muscles" is a good track, though. She has some songwriting credits on there....what do you think of her abilities as a songwriter (and let's truly assume she wrote the songs and not think it's some deceptive practice).

Was there a second single from this album? I only remember hearing "Muscles" on the radio.

According to Wikipeida, yes. "So Close" and "Who". Never heard of either.

That's probably why I liked it so much because she stepped outside of her comfort zone. I never liked those boring Pop songs she used to record ("Touch Me In the Morning") so, for me "A Fool For Your Love" was a breath of fresh air.

One of the reasons why I love Chaka Khan so much is because, unlike many of her peers, she's never stuck with a particular genre that was safe, therefore, you never know what to expect from her. Her sales may have sufferred because of it, but, at least she's not predictable like, say,a Sade or Anita Baker. Same with Diane, she's not musically predictable.

Okay, her vocals are totally muted but I love the "spunk" in her delivery...I actually think the song is well written and executed otherwise.
Space for sale...
