25th Annual Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony

Okay, so I'm new to the community, and have tried to find if this issue has already been addressed to no avail. The 25th annual Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony will be held on March 15, 2010 in NYC. It will be on Fuse for those interested. My question is does anyone know who will be performing? I have Googled this, but I can't seem to find the answer anywhere. The performer inductees will be ABBA, Genesis, Jimmy Cliff, The Hollies, and The Stooges. Or are the inductees the performers? I'm not familiar with how the induction ceremony works.....

The inductees perform, unless they chose not to. Madonna had Iggy Pop perform for her. Seems like Metallica performed for someone else. Blondie only had part of their band perform, because Deborah Harry was being a bitch. VanHalen didn't perform together, and only Eddie and Alex (sic) showed up and accepted. I would imagine Iggy would perform. I'm curious to see if Abba does. Peter Gabriel said he wouldn't be part of Genesis, which is too bad. I wonder if Phil Collins will take part. He can't play piano or drum anymore, literally. He might sing though.

Damn...Phil can't play drums anymore? (Just read on wiki he had a injury, totally messed up)...He was killer in his day. Their live drummer, Chester Thompson, deserves to be inducted with them. He's been with Genesis for too many years to not be recognized....The Rock Hall has had many great reunion performances over the years, Talking Heads being the first that comes to mind. The Clash would have, but unfortunately, you know what happened. R.I.P. Joe Strummer...

Ahhh...thanks for the info. I wonder if Prince would ever perform for anyone being inducted? YEAH RIGHT!
