What a pretty song It has a reggae feel to it and the lyrics are pretty too I liked this song from the moment I heard it-nice one from Sade. Opinions on the song?

I love the hook ("Your daddy knows...you're a flame...") and how it rides out, with the horns and keyboards thrown in, until the end. I was in the car listening to "Babyfather" for the first time and it was starting to put me into such a wonderful trance (regardless of how dangerous that made me as a driver). I love when Sade settles on a groove like that and I appreciated it even more because, honestly, it scarcely happens on "Soldier Of Love."

I've only listened to "The Moon and the Sky" more but dare I say that "Babyfather" > "TMATS".

This song has disaster written all over it but somehow they pull it off without any schmaltz or corniness...Unless Prince's Future Baby Momma song. :headshake:

I dig it. One of my fave songs on the album.

The song is another Sade masterpiece.

For some strange reason, I can't help think of Michael Jackson's children when listening to this song.

The entire cd is incredible. I've listened to it twice and love every song.
