New J. Lo song. Is Nelly Furtado gettin' paid?

Sounds exactly like All Good Things (Come To An End).

doesnt everyone sound the same anyway? they all use the same beatmakers. Nelly was nothing more than a piece of product too and had her one album wonder now she is looking for someone to sound like

*DEAD* Nelly had significant hits before Loose and will have them after Loose, as well. She's had three albums (four if you include her non-English album) - hardly a one-album wonder. If she was looking for someone to sound like, she wouldn't have followed up Loose with Mi Plan.

And as a songwriter and musician, hardly a "piece of product".

Sorry but Nelly sold herself out and the musician disappeared on Loose, and now she suddenly has picked it up again, the only way Nelly will have "hits" is if she follows the same blueprint she did with Loose, so whoever is hot at the moment expect her to be with. Once again very quick artistic status given to someone not even near it.

So you're admitting your statement was completely inaccurate - thanks! lol

Loose was a great record. I have no problem with her going commercial if she's going to record songs as great as Say It Right or All Good Things.

when did i say she wasnt a musician or a writer?? i said she was a sellout and she is that is accurate and anyone who says she isnt is a liar. I said she sounded like everyone else to have a hit...hmmm didnt she get with the hot team of the moment and sound like everyone else for her hits, which would not have come her second album did not bust her through, they were all talking about her as the sophmore jinx.

I mean duran duran recorded that shit with Timbaland and Justin and Danja for a hit, and look where it got them...dropped

It's obviously implied when you say an artist is "nothing more than a piece of a product".

I said she sounded like everyone else to have a hit...hmmm didnt she get with the hot team of the moment and sound like everyone else for her hits, which would not have come her second album did not bust her through, they were all talking about her as the sophmore jinx.

I disagree. The Loose album was fantastic. How many songs like Say It Right were on radio then or since? Can't think of any. Then you had all the great album tracks that retained her roots while expanding her sound. As a writer and producer, I give Nelly credit for changing it up, since none of her albums sound the same.

Now, back to the topic of this thread: J. Lo! Now *there's* a piece of product you can talk about.

Folklore was her best work and showed growth but that is for debate and it is what it is, just because it doesnt sell doesnt mean its not the better move, as for Jlo, she is a pop star over 40 and everyone can do the math on what you will get from a 40+ female trying to regain her million selling days

well if you judge success on just being on the radio, i mean be serious, you have artists that sell a zillion downloads make half a penny on each and then cant sell an album, explain why almost every number one album the last few years, the artist almost NEVER gets played on the radio? can we just all agree that the radio is for 6 year olds at this point.

who the hell knows, i dont have a crystal ball, she did a commercial with lebron james and got 650,000 for it, i aint seen that in over a decade of work. Im not jaded on success, who knows, something can sell nothing here but alot overseas and since we are all thinking that the US is the only market we have no clue, in this case Tina Turner is a nobody since she does nothing in this country. I mean that philosphy made a-ha a one hit wonder(which they arent even in america) and they have sold 80 million records, and now sold out US shows quicker than anyone in history at these venues and the NYC venue they sold out 3 nights Prince couldnt even sell out, so go figure with your "success".

But getting back to JLO, who cares, shes over 40 and no one is gonna play it here, its america in the new generation

I just hate today´s song like that - computeruzed everything.

Actually u mentioned Nicole, kind of a repeat of your played out responses, surprised you didnt mention Cassie since 95% of Cassie's mentions on this forum are done by others not me, guess you all have a thing for her.
