PHANTOGRAM "Eyelid Movies"

There are parts of Phantogram's music that can easily be named, like they sound a BIT like Portishead (beats), a bit like The Knife (voices, and hence why I like 'm so much) and some Cocteau Twins (mysterious)

But to just pick their sound apart like that is too easy. Prince, when he still made great music, also took from other, but, like these two people, made it entirely his own.

So that's what Phantogram is; something exciting in the overkill of electro/rock. Sarah Barthel and Josh Carter create soundscapes I can lose myself entirely in. I love how they both take lead vocals, making the album diverse.
