I think most people take Janet too seriously  I know she has made serious music concerning important issues but at the same time most of her music is about having a good time and pleasure. This is one of them. It's like Janet can't do anything right. If she goes back to her old forumla people get mad and say she's rehashing past glories. The sound is more like a Pitbull track than a Janet track. I'm not really a fan of Pitbull (or Janet, for that matter) but I like his track "Hotel Room Service" much more than this.
Plus the video for "Hotel Room Service" has some VERY fine looking ladies. A video for this new song could never compete, even if Janet puts on her sexiest push-up bra.  | |

Janet has already got top billing on "Why Did I Get Married Too" poster. What does that say? Tyler Perry knows what he has in his movie. That is why he had her record the new song for the Soundtrack. This movie is going to be huge. Because people want to see whats left after MJ,MISS JACKSON. She is going to deliver and maybe even get an Oscar nomination. more Grammy's & and a top seller book...  will ALWAYS think of  like a "ACT OF GOD"! My point is the market, at least airplay has passed her by and alot of others, this is not the 80's and 90's the lack of being diverse isnt there anymore, so unless she is going to jump on a track with GaGa, i dont see a "radio hit", thats not saying she would have "commercial success" i mean Prince debuted at Number one and no one knew he had a record out, bruce Springsteen always debuts at one and gets no play, Bon Jovi the same thing, no radio hit and sorry but Jovi is as commercial as it comes and if they cant get on top 40 /rock radio, with an album that has outsold other artists, than why put stock in radio at all at this point. Janets Fans aare going to buy this record whether they like the new songs or not, if she singing songs with Kermit the Frog count her loyal fans in, you will rarely (you will get some) pick up new fans when you are in your 40's. I know U don't really need a song on the radio if u have loyal fans and have built a loyal fan-base over decades like Prince(my musical idol) & Janet and other artist to sell and become number one on the charts. But I just feel she will be watched more closely and given more a chance because of the circumstances. She has already appeared on the top award shows performing since MJ's passing already and people are waiting to hear anything new she has lately coming out. There is a bigger anticipation of her now versus last year this time. Her age doesn't have anything to do with that. She can be twelve or ninety.
