Underrated Gem Of the Day - Kool & The Gang For some reason, this era of K&TG gets a bad rap, but I loved the Forever album. I think it was full of potential hits, and they should have milked it like they did Emergency (which had every song as a great song).

I liked these two songs as well as IBMC but the
rest of the album just really didn't do anything for me. IMO it just didn't have the juice the Emergency album did. Don't laugh at my funk

I never cared for "Stone Love" because it wasn't really danceable and was just "there". I always loved "Victory" though. I played the hell out of it when Obama won. Andy is a four letter word.

The songs were a little more message oriented which i get but they just didn't have the fire behind it the songs on Emergency did. Don't laugh at my funk

It was the late 1980s after little miss you-know-who had changed things. Andy is a four letter word.
