Funky song. I did an 80's dance party a while back mixing 70s, 80s, 90s, and 00, and this track sounded incredibly fresh right in the middle of all the current stuff.

Was there ever at 12" mix for this one, does anyone remember? I know it was the 2nd single from the album but didn't too particular well on the pop charts.

I think there was. I may have to look it up but I would be surprised if it didn't.

Nice track.
Like the way Tyrone Proctor (another Soul Train regular) got some spotlight in the video.

Also sorry Mr.Pill but it had run off the rails. shrug

This song was a good continuation of the Minneapolis funk that Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis put on JANET'S CONTROL ALBUM. That sexy low tone Jody was singing in reminded me of the low tone Janet was singing in the hit song "NASTY"
eye will ALWAYS think of prince like a "ACT OF GOD"! N another realm. eye mean of all people who might of been aliens or angels.if found out that prince wasn't of this earth, eye would not have been that surprised. R.I.P. prince

I was just responding to the typical ill comment that had nothing to
do with the song. I didn't respond with a comment just an emoticon.
It's all peace and grease.

Great song and great album (although I prefer the all-Andre-produced Larger Than Life album). Jody was seriously classy. Loved the model/fashion vibe she brought into the mix. She was quite unique. Loved the more Prince-style Minne sound that this track had (not to mention most of Andre's stuff with Jody).

Thanks for bringing back funkpill's original thread intent, Timmy84.
