I'd be thrilled. Loved the 2000 release & pretty much everything David & Mic worked on before (System stuff & the many production efforts).

Have these guys released a 'Best of' compilation yet? I'd love a CD of their greatest hits.

synth funk taken too far. Reminds me of the 80's. No.

When The Funk goes too far, that is a great thing (especially synth-funk at an uptempo)! wink

Not sure of their time frame.

One of the tracks on this release you can hear in my original post above...Sonic Fire.
Another track appears to be the rearranged version of You Are In My System from the ESP album.

Six others are mid-tempo to ballad type tracks (custom made for vainandy biggrin )
The last one She Said Yes is more uptempo.

I was tempted to order this, but I'm not too crazy about the 'Pleasure Seekers' album shrug I'd rather have a good, definititve greatest hits CD from them.I guess I'll hold out for that.

I bought their first 45 "You Are In My System" which was simply decent but I never cared for most of their work because a lot of it sounded not really midtempo but "too mellow" on an uptempo track (if anyone can understand that description lol ). I mean, their stuff didn't sound quite "hard" enough to be danceable or funky. Plus, a lot of their stuff (especially late 1980s stuff) sounded too crossover pop sounding.

The only song that I really love of their's is the song "Coming To America" that plays during the ending credits of the movie and I'm not sure if that's them, it just sounds like them so I assumed it was them.

Despite being a huge fan of 80s synth stuff, these guys have never done it for me. Hard to say why exactly, because I can listen to all kinds of silly trash in the same vein unhindered for days.
