Everytime i hear this song, i cant help but seeing a club scene from Miami Vice (the tv show, not that shit movie) and seeing Phillip Michael Thomas doing some bad dancing

I kind of like those cheesy songs (more so the ballads...the attempts at upbeat pop where dull) but it is insane that his greatest hits set ignores this song and the stuff before "Caribbean Queen").

It is insane. His pre-"Caribbean Queen" stuff is as important...

Alot of people assume his career started in 1984 with "Carribean Queen" lol In fact,he had a hit single in 1976 called "Love Really Hurts Without You"

I found a budget collection of his that has that song, but not "Nights" or other notable tracks. Yeah, I was definitely one of those people that thought that for years although "Love..." did sound familiar to me (I guess I didn't know it was him). There is a collection of his "Nights" era stuff out there pretty cheap. I'll put it on my ever growing list.

The "Greatest Hits" set from 1989 only covers his Jive career, so it makes sense (especially in 1989...now labels wised up and work together for hits sets when the artist has been on multiple labels).
