Took the words right out of my mouth, Andy.... "Love is like peeing in your pants, everyone sees it but only you feel its warmth"

Dang never heard this cut from him before, thanks Timmy. You sure are always turning me on to something I don't already know. My favs from him are "Carribean Queen" and "Love Zone", but this song here is funky too! I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

Everytime i hear this song, i cant help but seeing a club scene from Miami Vice (the tv show, not that shit movie) and seeing Phillip Michael Thomas doing some bad dancing "We went where our music was appreciated, and that was everywhere but the USA, we knew we had fans, but there is only so much of the world you can play at once" Magne F

I kind of like those cheesy songs (more so the ballads...the attempts at upbeat pop where dull) but it is insane that his greatest hits set ignores this song and the stuff before "Caribbean Queen").

Alot of people assume his career started in 1984 with "Carribean Queen" In fact,he had a hit single in 1976 called "Love Really Hurts Without You"

Good LORD, Timmy!
I swear we must have the exact same taste in music. This is THE JAM right here. "He's a musician's musician..."

I found a budget collection of his that has that song, but not "Nights" or other notable tracks. Yeah, I was definitely one of those people that thought that for years although "Love..." did sound familiar to me (I guess I didn't know it was him). There is a collection of his "Nights" era stuff out there pretty cheap. I'll put it on my ever growing list.

The "Greatest Hits" set from 1989 only covers his Jive career, so it makes sense (especially in 1989...now labels wised up and work together for hits sets when the artist has been on multiple labels).

..
Nights is my favorite Billy Ocean track, along with it's 1982 cousin, "Calypso Funkin"... ... " I've got six things on my mind --you're no longer one of them." - Paddy McAloon, Prefab Sprout

He is still around....singing and touring. He released an album, last year. "Love is like peeing in your pants, everyone sees it but only you feel its warmth"

This is a good jam, but the best song of his career is "Suddenly".
