Especially after hearing that part at the end.Now I'm finding out she was lip syncing that part like Milli Vanilli. She's a faker...I feel cheated right now... Wake up. Look at the people Sheryl Crow talked about singing background for, and the producer asked her to "just sing a line, and try singing it like the artist", and then she ended up hearing her lead vocals on someone else's album, because the "artist" in question couldn't sing. Well it was just more disappointing to me. Because the climax of that song was always my favorite part of it. I just always imagined Rebbie singing that part...But I'm aware that background singers have sung lead parts on songs. Even her famous late brother had his vocals intertwined with another vocalist on "Butterflies" written by neo-soul duo Floetry member Marsha Ambrosius.I was surprised that that wasn't him on certain parts of that song. You are exactly right on that. Michael had a unique singing voice and could hold his own with any singer. Jermaine wasn't bad either. But I have to stick up for my girl Janet to me she can sing. She just has a light voice. But U need to listen to this live performance of Anytime any place on Saturday Night Live.http://www.youtube.com/wa...zZXSffI11w will ALWAYS think of like a "ACT OF GOD"! Yeah as far as Jackson vocals go, it was always:
1.) MJ 2.) Jermaine 3.) Janet And the rest in disparaging numbers.

Yeah i've known for some time that it was Martha Wash singing background vocals on "Centipede". Also Michael, in additon to writing the song, also sang pretty much the entire chorus for "Centipede" along with Rebbie, as well as some background vocals. It's a shame though that people are always ripping off Martha Wash. She can sing her ass off and doesn't get enough credit.
As for Rebbie, for some reason, Jackson Family fans love to go on about what a great singer Rebbie is, but I really don't get it. She's better than Latoya and a few others I guess, but her voice is not all that. I also prefer Janet's vocals over Rebbie. Janet's tone is lovely. I like Rebbie though, don't get me wrong but i've always felt that fans of The Jackson Family had/have a tendancy to overrate her voice. I'm like please, I hope y'all know that was Martha Wash hitting all them high notes on "Centipede" not Rebbie . The only legitimately good singers in the family to me are Michael and Jermaine anyway . Everyone else can sing to a lesser extent (except for Latoya lol), but I think those two are the best vocalists and I find Rebbie to be overrated as a vocalist (at least among Jackson fans). "And When The Groove Is Dead And Gone, You Know That Love Survives, So We Can Rock Forever" RIP MJ

Rebbie's vocals always reminded of Patrice Rushen. If she had collaborated with Patrice, she would've had more classic jams added to her name. As for Centipede, I really don't care who sung this and that, it's a great song. Michael wrote a great song and John Barnes took it to the next level in terms of the arrangement.

Michael should have wrote and produced more songs for other artist. There's probably a large laundry list of songs written by Michael but recorded by other artists, but that's very true. I wish Michael would've produced more songs or an entire album by himself, for him or anybody else. People want to say he couldn't do it, I call bullshit on that, I believe he could have, all he needed were his usual players, Mouse, Bruce, Michael Bodderick, Louis Johnson, etc.

Did LaToya release an lp in 1984? If she did, does that make 1984 the only year that all the siblings were involved in new releases?
And why was LaToya on We Are The World instead of Jermaine, Janet, or even Rebbie? As big as a Jackson fan I've always been for YEEEAAARS I thought LaToya was younger than Michael, that she was after Michael and before Randy. I guess it was because she appeared always so dependent on him. I'm sick and tired of the Prince fans being sick and tired of the Prince fans that are sick and tired!

BTW who wrote Somebody´s Watching Me? "When Michael Jackson is just singing and dancing, you just think this is an astonishing talent. And he has had this astounding talent all his life, but we want him to be floored as well. We really don´t like the idea that he could have it all."
