"Centipede"-Rebbie Jackson (Martha Wash backing vocals)

Miss Martha Wash (The Weather Girls, Blackbox, C&C Music Factory) was always getting her vocals stolen. Starting at about 3:40, Martha is killing it!

All these years I told everybody Rebbie can really sing better than Janet. Especially after hearing that part at the end.Now I'm finding out she was lip syncing that part like Milli Vanilli. She's a faker...I feel cheated right now...

I, too, all these years thought that Rebbie was belting out that shit and then I find out that it wasn't even HER! I'm with YOU! She IS a FAKE! At least now we know that no Jackson has a HUGE belting range. Pathetic, ain't it? Yup.

You know how I knew it wasn't her (Rebbie), I heard her other songs, she has the same range as her sisters.

I never bothered to listen to the rest of the songs on her album back then. But I am really mad about this.

I remember first hearing this song on the radio. I was very impress when I heard her hit those notes at the end of the song.I was like wow! she can really sing. I think she redid one of Prince songs to. "I feel for U". I do not want to hear that...lol

mad

I only found out in recent years that Martha was on that song. That definately explains why it sounds so good.

wave And not because of the Martha ad libs, but because of Rebbie's tone, control, and expression.
I'm sick and tired of the Prince fans being sick and tired of the Prince fans that are sick and tired!

Wake up. Look at the people Sheryl Crow talked about singing background for, and the producer asked her to "just sing a line, and try singing it like the artist", and then she ended up hearing her lead vocals on someone else's album, because the "artist" in question couldn't sing.
