I LOOOOOVE this song and the video.
When I was younger I use to have this style of dress and everyone was like you fake wanna be Madonna....Being black didn't help until this video. OMG she was my fucking HERO!!!!!, Madonna, Cyndi, JaneChild, that chic from Bow Wow Wow, Joan Jett.....I loved the punk edge back then and embraced those looks whole heartedly. Rihanna's edgy look these days reminds me of the 80's throwback just a lil more modern...you know she must have referenced these chics for her style today. This and "Still a Thrill" the fucking best! check this one out if you've not already.... will do, thanks for the recommendation! the last Jody album i bought was Midnight Lounge. Very nice vibe, enjoyed it greatly. Love her version of Peter Gabriel's "Don't Give Up." Nice and chill. * * *
