I love this song! It has a cool EW&F vibe.Everyone raves about his "Heaven Help Me" single,but I think that "Spell" is the real gem on his album.

Yeah it does have an Earth, Wind & Fire quality to it.

I heard this song a few times on the radio in the fall of 1989 and I had no idea who was singing it.For years I had been looking for this song and finally found it last year.I can't believe that this song didn't become a big hit!

You can find it on his 1988 debut album 'Spell' It's out of print but there are used vinyl and CD copies floating around on Amazon,ebay and elsewhere.I found a used CD copy last year with no problem.

I found out that Deon wrote "Spell" for Harvey Mason,then recorded his own version in 1988.I prefer Deon's version.
