agreed... i think it will take some time to absorb. I really like it already but it's going to take some time to fully sink in.

Good question and a hard one to answer, but I'm gonna go with "Promise." Not only is it a great album, it holds some sentimental value for me.

My favorite is Stronger Than Pride.

I heard a new song from her on the radio on the way home the other day. Surpisingly, it sounded pretty good to be recorded in the 2000s. It's something I might download (for free) but it's not something I like enough to go out and buy.

Okay, I've listened to this beast all day and I am in love. This is a huge improvement over Lover's Rock. I also don't mind the brevity of the album...maybe it's cause I am now in the habit of buying Sweetback in between Sade albums that I get my Sade fix in between.

datdude	u know i think i like Elixir better than Soldier of Love. sad to say. never thought i'd say it but SOL is an album full of "By Your Sides", lyrical depth is there but no grooves or melodies IMO. if ever one of her albums could be called "slit ur wrist music" this is it. (sigh). so disappointed. 3 out of 10 keepers is not a good number
