El doesn't even talk during the clip....but I do love this black history theme TVOne is doing this month. It's really cool. Last week they showed the "Flip Wilson" show and "The Richard Pryor" shows, they were really good. I see that Lawrence Hilton-Jacobs and Glynn Turman still look really good given that they are older. Is El on parole, or is his sentence in prison over? Either way, that's just dandy. "You put water into a cup, it becomes the cup...Now water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend." - Bruce Lee

A little off topic: I'm so that TVOne is airing "A Different World" episodes. That is my favorite show of all time!!! Okay back to the discussion. I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

You KNOW I was all over this. El is out of jail, has been since October. From what I have heard, he is back in the studio. He was interviewed and sang on Kiss FM-he sounded amazing from what I heard. Also, El will be on that show all week. [Edited 2/6/10 20:05pm] "Lack of home training crosses all boundaries."

Glad El is out of jail, didn't know that he was. Too bad we didn't really get to hear him speak in this clip.

It is so good to hear El is out of jail.
I still can't believe that actually happened. The tragedy this family has endured is unbelievable... El Debarge is a legend. I find it such a shame that Debarge music has never really landed a proper place in history. If only the white people had paid more attention to Motown in the 1980s...

http://www.tvoneonline.co...97&id=2616 They could of at least let the man speak. El has aged a great deal. A stupid man’s report of what a clever man says can never be accurate, because he unconciously translates what he hears into something he can understand.

Well I don't think it was a case of them not "letting" him speak, he should have SPOKE UP and said something. He was in the room with two dominate actors, he could have easily interrupted with his point of view. At least that's what I would have done. I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

El actually doesn't look that bad, considering and he is almost 50. From what I have heard he is actually rather shy and we only saw a few minutes of that show, so he probably did speak up.
I think thanks to that Vibe article and Unsung, people are giving the Debarge legacy another look. I think in time they will get their laurels. Switch and Bobby, however, will probably never get props. "Lack of home training crosses all boundaries."

I refuse to watch anything on TV One...that woman and her political agenda is just as bad as Faux News and the shows productions are high school level at best. I tried giving props to Unsung but each show (with the exception of Minnie's) suck. Such a shame cause the artist being covered deserve so much more then a wiki search and ten times removed commentary. Space for sale...
