New Chaka Khan CD Package http://www.amazon.com/Ori...965&sr=1-1
As part of their Original Album series, Warner Brothers will reissue 5 of Chaka's solo albums on a multi CD set. Included will be the long sought-after 1982 title "Chaka Khan", which, until now, was only available as a very expensive Japan import. "It's not nice to fuck with K.B.! this is also an import not a domestic release, so i am guessing there has been no re-mastering involved since that happens alot with overseas collections.but at least is a decent price for 5cds "We went where our music was appreciated, and that was everywhere but the USA, we knew we had fans, but there is only so much of the world you can play at once" Magne F

I wish Warners would get their shit together & release the `Dare You To Love Me` album from 1995. Why isn`t that included in the package as that would have been a real incentive to buy it. Most of the tracks are out there but it`s not the same as having them on a proper pressed disc with liner notes etc.

Chaka (1978) Naughty (1980) What Cha' Gonna Do For Me (1981) Chaka Khan (1982) I Feel For You (1984) I'm excited! Just bought on CD the first Chaka LP I ever bought from 1975 "Rufus Introducing Chaka Khan." Reminds me of a quote I remember her say from the 70s--"I'm going to retire by the time I'm 28." I sure am glad she didn't! Also, just ordered her autobiography "Through The Fire."

Because Chaka owns "I Dare You To Love" and most of her unreleased music from what I hear
I agree, thats a SOLID album *knocks on the table* I swear o' god, it pains me that not alot of people heard it,,,my mother's jaw dropped when I burned her a copy of it, she's a Chakaholic too but her knowledge is only exclusive to the released stuff. There was this talk couple of years ago that Chaka was putting together a boxet that has loads of her demos, unreleased stuff and extended mixes among her hits(with coffee table booklet filled with rare pix and essays by David Ritz and the other David, Mr.Nathan). Of course, it looks like I'll be getting gray haired before I ever see this

"It Ain't Easy Loving Me" is another killer track from the "Dare" project that was only included on the Japan pressing of "Epiphany".

DARE YOU TO LOVE ME: The unreleased Chaka Khan album from 1995
This project was completed before the 'Epiphany' CD was released in 1996, and for some reason, Warner Brothers decided to disregard all of the hard work that Chaka (& others!!) put into the project by cancelling it's release. Warners then started to release several of the tracks on various soundtracks, and others appeared as the 'new songs' on 1996's 'Epiphany'. From what I've heard on the tracks that I've collected from this project, Chaka Khan had a great CD that was dumped in favor of a 'Best Of' CD. CD Tracklisting 1. Dare You To Love Me 2. Never Miss The Water 3. Don't Take Back (Your Love) 4. Love Me Still 5. Pain 6. Miles Blowin' 7. Everywhere 8. Let My Heart Go 9. You & I Are One 10. Power 11. Whatever I Want 12. A Dream I Had 13. Every Little Thing 14. Something Deep 15. Your Love Is All I Know 16. It Ain't Easy Loving Me 17. Superlife - BONUS TRACK 18. Raspberry - BONUS TRACK ... [Edited 2/10/10 0:02am]

Don't know why Superlife always seems to be referred to as from the DYTLM sessions in various articles I've read. It's not.

Actually, I believe it was. There was a demo version of "Superlife" that was leaked on the internet about 8 or 9 years ago. Personally, I like the demo version more than the version that ended up on "Funk This". "It's not nice to fuck with K.B.! All you haters will see!" - Kitbradley
