I wore the vinyl album out on the whole album!!
Arguably the best of the Jamaica, Queens NYC albums ( Tom Browne Don Blackman, Marcus Miller, Bernard Wright, Jamaica Boys, etc,...) ... [Edited 2/4/10 11:08am] " I've got six things on my mind --you're no longer one of them." - Paddy McAloon, Prefab Sprout

I agree the man is truly a wizard, but I think all of those guys got their main schooling from Mr.Weldon Irvine. The 1st time I heard You Ain't Hip, I was through The track before it is a madhouse too,,,, I can't believe I used to skip it

Arguably the best of the Jamaica, Queens NYC albums ( Tom Browne Don Blackman, Marcus Miller, Bernard Wright, Jamaica Boys, etc,...) Arguably? NOT. It's their best work. Even saw where Pharrell was givin this record props recently. Even against Nard's first album & all the Tom Browne output, this one still stands as a monolith. ... He was the local Quincy Jones/ArtBlakey for all the Kats... Don Blackman was 17 when he wrote, played and sang on Weldon's Sinbad album.... ...
