3 Decades of Music (industry) History!! (a must see) I just discovered this and just spent hours of combing through 3 decades of old & new Billboard Magazines. All scanned at high res.
It was a trip looking at the trades from 1982 & 1983 and how the labels and retail were preparing for the arrival of the CD. Look where it is now! The 1978-1979 issues were nearly all about Disco! If you have time, its really a treat. http://books.google.com/b...navlinks_s If the link doesn't work, go to Google Books, type in Billboard Magazine. Be sure to click on "browse all issues." Enjoy! But not only that, media outlets like MTV and its sale in 1985 were the beginning of the end.
