New Edition probably more than any other group be it Pop, Rock , R&B, hip-hop etc has done the unthinkable when it comes to "staying power"constantly bringing it with every release from Candy Girl to One Love these 6 guys have stood the test of time and there have been many tests.New Edition and L.L Cool J. are only a few of the 80's acts still doing it and doing it well.No group Not the Beatles not the Eagles not the Temptations not even the Jackson 5 whom they were often compared have had all their members have number 1 hits . U think Ringo Starr has a number 1 song? Name me another group where every1 in the Group had a smash or 2 or 3 ? U can't can u . Bobby Brown with Don't be Cruel Ralph Tresvant Sensativity Johnny Gill My My My and BBD 1 of my all time faves that made it possible 4 a TLC ,Jodeci, Boys II Men etc damn near all of 90's R&B owes alot 2 New Edition so big ups 2 N.E. the Original Boy Band and No it aint New KIDS ON THEIR JOCK. Sir NA$$TEE aka Hiz Royal Nassteeness. Keep'n it Kinky 4 2010

Ringo Starr did have a number one hit and, he could actually play a musical instrument to boot.
well it's not too hard to "bring it" every time out when none of the members actually do anything for 10-year stretches at a time. ya know?

Hey it's $IR NA$$TEE , Thanxxx 4 your post that was very in4mative 2 me . I had no idea Ringo had a hit I knew the other 3 Beatles have had a hit xxxcuse me they had HITZ .Hitz meaning more than 1 song , like New Edition they had HITS MEANING MORE THAN 1 as a groud then went (solo on that ass) like Snoop Doggy Dogg .Bobby Brown solo album sold millions close 2 9 milli had at least 5 jamz in the top 10 3 number 1z, BBD had hitz not hit, Johnny Gizzill 4 number 1z Ralph who you heard more than anybody lead vocalist in the group even he had hitz .I know Billboard Charts don't mean jack but u have 2 give them props N.E. is on hit xxxcuse me HITZ.

I love the first two albums. I had completely forgotten about "Count Me Out" which must have been on the third album. I wonder what else was on that third album. After that, I didn't care for them at all.

I can't say i'm a huge fan, but I I enjoy the songs i've heard of theirs. Mostly the popular one's I guess you can say since I don't own any of their albums.

"If It Isn't Love", "Cool It Now", "Mr. Telephone Now", "Helplessly In Love" and "Can You Stand The Rain" (MY absolute fave NE song) are my faves.
"And When The Groove Is Dead And Gone, You Know That Love Survives, So We Can Rock Forever" RIP MJ heart

"Baby, that was much too fast"...Goodnight dear sweet Prince. I'll love you always heart

Cinnie

I love when the "A Little Bit Of Love" acapella gets mixed over rap beats.

I've heard at least a couple I really like:

DJ Pump mixed it over Run-DMC's "Sucker MCs" drums

Ron G mixed it over Doug E Fresh "The Show" instrumental
