How Many Of You Remember This Girl? KINA She was part of the R&B group Brownstone for about 3 years. She went solo, and only released one album. It's so fucking GOOD! I was on a bad weekend date with a guy who had a dick the size of a baby's thumb (what....it's true ), and he played this CD in the car on the way home. The date failed, but the CD had me hooked. This was a single: This song is very much like Alanis. Aggressive music, but a straight ahead love song. She all but dropped out of the scene, only having small parts in movies over the years. Her song "Sincerely" was featured in Beauty Shop, and was in The New Guy as Estelle, among other things. I don't think she'll ever really come back to the music scene, but I sincerely hope she does some day. It needs her.

I was hoping she'd be the next Tina Turner.

She had that sort of vibe and potential. She was a black Alanis in a lot of ways. She wasn't poppy, but she wasn't too rock that she would throw off potential Top 40 fans.

I LOVE this album! Start to finish.
I too was always hoping for a follow up. I still listen to about half of it in my regular rotation. Still enjoy the album start to finish. I don't want you to think like me. I just want you to think.

My wife has this album. She loves it. Me? Well, it didn't do much for me.
She can sing her butt off, but I just wasn't feeling her songs. Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου
