Michael Jackson didnt invent/create or bring any new twist to signature dance moves which brought him to a next level. The Robot in Dance Machine & The Backslide in Billie Jean Motown 25.
The White Media whitewashed the truth with giving him credit for something that was on american tv. "He didn't make it his own" as some like to say, watch the old Soul Train Tv shows, they showed a bunch on this documentary - same exact dance moves. Which tells you how big would have been if there was a Youtube/Internet in 1982. If the real information came out. Not as big. As soon as "The moment" happened on Motown 25 - that next week there would be topics and links to the truth. But what do you expect from our White Media, they chose to tell "us" what they want from something as silly as this, to his death, BOOM MJ's dies and the white media ignores the man and just pretends nothing happened since 1983... to lets be honest major issues of the country & world. But it is finally funny to see the truth came out on something anyone can take 5 minutes on google and find out the truth about music/dance history. Michael put his own twist to those dance moves so people associate those moves with him but yeah the ones just jumping on board Michael fandom need to do their homework. But people still don't want to give michael credit for nothing I never heard him say he invented the moonwalk etc [Edited 2/8/10 7:58am] [Edited 2/8/10 7:59am] | |

NEWSFLASH: Everybody knew Michael didn't invent the moonwalk. Michael himself said he would watch Soul Train for the latest steps and he and his brother Marlon would incorporate them in their routines Anybody who knows the story of popping knows that Jeffery, along with Michael "Boogaloo Shrimp" Chambers, Geron Candidate, and Cooley Jackson worked with Michael and helped incorporate popping in his dancing SEVERAL documentaries made the point that Jeffery helped teach Michael the moonwalk And Michael himself said he didn't invent it. What MJ did was bring it to the mainstream "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world." | |

Most shows that I've seen in the white media usually say that Michael saw "street kids" doing it and picked up on it and never mentioning that it had already been televised, seen nationally, and was even semi popular on black music shows across the country. You'd be surprised how many white people to this day will argue someone down and swear that Michael invented it. Andy is a four letter word. | |

I know, but it's not some big revelation Everybody in the know knew where Michael got the moonwalk and the story behind how he learned it but I agree. For the longest time, people in the mainstream thought Michael came up with it but people in the know Michael was watching Soul Train and was working with some of the dancers to incorporate the moves in his routines "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. so very true. i'm a big fan, but the more she speaks or if you read her myspace page bio (if she's not changed it) she comes across not only as just negative but bitter too. yeah she does. Jeffery seems like he's just happy he had the opportunity. Dude went on to do some cool stuff since Shalamar and is still working "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world." | |

scriptgirl said: I was shocked by the whole Soul Unlimited thing. That shows how scandalous Dick was/is. Also, why was Smokey Robinson on there-he always rubs me the wrong way, like that dirty old man always trying to pick up women young enough to be his granddaughter
----- Where is the haterade for Smokey coming from? | |

Jody may come off bitter, but Jeffrey comes off creepy "Lack of home training crosses all boundaries." | |
