SONG LIST

Firstly, as posted before; this was a hard thing to do, as the 90's feature some of my all time favourite artists. As I did not want Radiohead, Björk, Tori Amos and Prince to dominate the ENTIRE list, I graded those artists extra hard, with a rather fun surprise, when it comes to Prince.

Firstly, Prince became much more a live artist to me, as his album projects in the 90's to me were big failures. And the songs I had most fun with were downgraded by the inclusion of the ones that made the top grade AND the fact that a lot of the stuff I really dug (the original Come or the studio version of Days Of Wild) was never released. And I excluded outtakes.
But I included songs previously unreleased on The Hits, as they were officially released in the 90s. So Power Fantastic, even though an 80's song made the grade together with Joy In Repetition and Crystal Ball, even though they are 80's songs.

Then, with Radiohead, I made some tough decisions, as I am somewhat of a retrospect collector when it comes to them and other songs of lesser known artists made a bigger impact on me during the actual 90's.

Tori and Björk. Tough choices. I went for the songs that are real personal, so maybe not the ones people expect from me. I had to grade these ladies the hardest, as they both had dozens songs I love and adore by them and their albums, singles and non-album material ruled a big part of my 90's. But I wanted to keep the list as varied as possible. So I just graded them harder.

But Suede gay? definitely not. Just think of them as 28 year old rockers doing their own (and super-cool) version of 70s glam in the 90s. High quality singles, to say the least. Back in the day, Suede, Oasis and, to a lesser extent, Blur, were the coolest band in Europe.
