What about that laughing she did with Juelz? lol (I wonder how Solange felt about that. hmmm )

I was watching the tribute again today, and it's amazing how PrinceMJ and Paris had the same effect on the audience as their father: Once they appeared, no one else in the room was interesting or significant anymore. lol They became the focal point of the show, just like MJ always was.

You know, these people usually know each other intimately and spend a lot of time together as a result of their mutual business interests an friends in common. I can't imagine she would have minded very much if at all, otherwise I doubt his aunt would have let him escort Rihanna and his uncle onstage while she was going to accept her award.

As for Mike's kids, I was much less amazed by the impact they had on the ceremony. At the end of the day, it was simply a piqueing and satisfying of curiosity; the formerly veiled, well hidden and protected children of a dead pop icon jointly addressing the public for the first time. Why wouldn't the focal point be on them given the enigmatic circumstances surrounding them?

It's kinda funny watching America fawning over Pink, she's been doing this aerial stuff on her tour for ages. I actually thought "not again!" until I saw the reactions of the ppl on American news stations then I thought "Oh ok, it's not old over there yet!"

You have to understand while she was on full throttle here in the EU and other places on the globe, she sort of dropped off the map in the US for the past few years. I remember being in Manhattan in 2007 and people not even realizing what her music releases were, much less that she was touring. So yup, her flexing her gymnast muscles during her sets is still new at home in the States, although we've already seen it here.

First and foremost.

Lady Gaga's performance was okay... the concept of it swallowed her. Both Elton and Gaga need to do something about their voices.
Beyoncé took my life when she had the NERVE to belt the words "call me in the midnight hour" and didn't give it back until she'd finished. And her body in that Atelier Versace... I hate Jay-Z.
Pink was phenomenal. "Glitter in the Air" deserved the spotlight she gave it. Beautiful.
My heart stopped when Stevie Nicks, GODDESS Stevie Nicks, came out to sing alongside Taylor Swift. I like the girl but she shouldn't be given the time to desecrate anything but her own songs live... She did NOT deserve "Rhiannon". She ESPECIALLY did not deserve to sing the LEAD VOCAL LINE while Stevie did harmony. I'm disgusted. I'm also disgusted, a bit, at her winning Album of the Year.
Jamie Foxx and nem and Lil' Waynuh and nem made me glad Beyoncé chose to perform a song from I Am... and not Sasha Fierce.
Maxwell needs vocal rest. And probably a little training.
The Michael tribute was..... cute.
iSnatch, iRead, iDrag. For Beysus and in general. Simple.

I watched some of the performances again today.
You know what? Pink's song might have been forgettable in the context of an award show, but her performance was fuckin flaw-less.
Not only was her body rockin, but the fact that she can hold her vocals so steady while doin some of that shit, and do it all so gracefully. Her dismount was so seamless.

In reality she should've won Best Pop Female for "Sober". It would have been well deserved.

It's so hard for me wrap my head around the fact that Taylor Swift won album of the year. I guess I'm glad she didn't win for best feamle vocalist because she can't sing.

Ok I just saw this Taylor Swift/Stevie Nicks performance on YouTube. Taylor cannot sing... at all. It was painful to listen to and even moreso when Stevie Nicks came out on stage and further illustrated Taylor's lack of vocal talent. confused

I swear the Grammy's need a new category: "Cute Female With No Vocal Talent Who Had Popular Album". Then dump all the Taylor Swift's, Rhianna's, Britney Spears', Ciara's, etc., in that category and leave the rest of the awards for actual vocalists.

Yeah I noticed that too!!! She was all gushy with her man, as she should, be he is a whole different story. I'm starting to think that the hush-hush relationship idea was more so his than hers....funny cuz I always use to think that would be her thang, but true colors do start to show after awhile. I'm sure
after awhile, him turning away and not acknowledging her is going to start getting on her nerves...you can tell that it's already irking her...otherwise, she wouldn't have made it known that she "loves" her husband in public, where as before, it really didn't need to said at all, it showed.
I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.
