I was talking about "cheap synthies" as in "tapping beats". But nevermind. Your weak arguments can't make up for the problem that you're mixing up your exotic opinions with facts, and the result of course is fatal. [Edited 2/6/10 12:49pm] All I've ever had is an opinion just like everyone else but since you want to consider my opinion as fact, then I'm flattered. Andy is a four letter word.

"I don't like Rap music" is an opinion.
"Disco is the real funk music for me" is an opinion. "I don't like spoken words and i don't care for lyrics" is an opinion. "Rap is no music" is not an opinion. It's false. "95% of all rappers today don't use instruments but tapping beats" is not an opinion. It's false. "The shit hop world (?) has no taste, but also has no interest in making music" is not an opinion. It's false. "Rap is a bunch of talking over a beat bullshit" is not an opinion. It's false. "Radio is for music, not poems" is not an opinion. It's false. You have spoken dammitt.

And he had cussed sooooo much, he started running out of ways to cuss. By the time he made "Scarred", he was simply cussing at random over the same type of music he had done so many times previously. I'll do you a favor and burn all your 2 Live Crew and Miami rap albums much like they did with disco records in the 80s. [Edited 2/6/10 13:33pm] Don't laugh at my funk

I commented on one of their threads. The video that was on one of the threads was good but not really something I'd go out and buy. There were some songs I really liked at the beginning of the "New Minneapolis Funk" thread though. Andy is a four letter word.

You can burn the 2 Live Crew ones if you want but don't touch my Pretty Tony, Freestyle, and Trinere records. . . . [Edited 2/6/10 13:49pm] Andy is a four letter word.

It's quite a few disco records/artists that i like that are associated with disco because it came during that era like GQ(disco nights, make my dream a reality),but i hate the pure weak sounding disco like Rick Dees and the Village People. I love proto-rap pioneers The Last Poets' "Doriella Du Fontaine" (1969), an original musical composition with Jimi Hendrix on guitar and Buddy Miles on drums.
Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five's "The Message" (1982), an original musical composition by Clifton "Jiggs" Chase on synthesizer and Keith LeBlanc on drum machine patterns. Whodini's "The Freaks Come Out at Night" (1984), an original musical composition by Pete Harris on synthesizer, Barry Eastmond on keyboards and Paul Kodlish on drum machine patterns. But most hip hop acts just sample and loop someone else's song. I use to love Da La Soul's "Me, Myself and I" in 1989, until I discovered that it was really Parliament's "Not Just Knee Deep" (1979) music that I was really loving. Young MC's "Bust a Move" (1989) has samples but it also has original music. It's a musical hybrid. It has samples of Ballin' Jack's "Found a Child" (1970), Dennis Coffey and The Detroit Guitar Band's "Scorpio" (1971) and Bette Midler's "Daytime Hustler" (1972) and an original bass composition by funky bass virtuoso Flea. Crystal Blake is the girl that sings on "Bust a Move". [Edited 2/7/10 21:18pm] Goodnight, sweet Prince.
