Of course people are going to say "oh she hardly plays, and that other guy is doing it all" well at least she is taking the time to invest in a band and instruments which is severly LACKING in all rb today, whether u like her or not, u cannot dispute the lack of having a band backing U in RB, and lets be real her playing what she did on that guitar is about the most a female RB has done with excpetion to maybe Meshell and Angie Stone.

Props to that club for having her and for having good sound, hopefully when she plays here in NYC she gets a club with good sound, saw some shows at the Highline Ballroom, truly the worst sounding club i have ever been at.

Im very happy that she has gone on this tour and played this stuff live, thats the only way to get the music out there now. Others will tend to sit back and blog about the industry woes, but you can only make it happen by doing it, not by writing about wanting to do it.

A couple played on this album. But i do think she is going to go even heavier into the rock instrumentation, its long overdue for the genre.

True. She actually does have more of a voice for rock.

I agree 100%, im not a big fan of slow jams at this point, i think this hindered her "because i love it" record somewhat, and there were 2 on this that could have been scrapped for "rock" out songs like "Higher".

Yeah its a rough/throaty vocal that she gives, its got alot of edge to it, and this gig is one of the best i have heard her sound, plus the club sounded good too. To me i never got the Tina T and Beyonce comparisons? Honestly if i want to see Tina on stage with a rb female, it would be Amerie in a heartbeat, just for the energy.
