I like this remix and the original as well. Almost equally. Mariah, Joe, Nas did their thing. It was before her voice started sounding severely damaged, which is post-Glitter era.

Oh, I LOVE this song. I definitely prefer it over the original. Mariah's remixes are usually very good.

I prefer the remix over the original(Mariah's song that is).

Jacci McGhee(the female singer opposite Keath Sweat in the original song) wasn't too happy when the remix got released though. In fact If I remember correctly, she said in Sister2Sister magazine that she called Columbia and Mariah's people to ask them to pull this song off the market, that Mimi should gracefully step off from the song altogether, I'm guessing to this day nobody answered her calls lol

Well it was not her song to begin with even though she really made the song for what it is, it's Keith Sweat and Teddy Riley's call not hers. She got paid for her part already. And everyone knows the original is better than this one. You can't place a hip hop beat in front of that smooth late 80's Yamaha and 808 and say it sounds more original.

I can't stand the original of this song. It's too pop for my taste. But the remix is really good. I don't care for Nas, though. I usually play the version with out him.

When I hear it, it is obviously recorded with honor to Keith and Jacci's record... sort of a 90s rendition. I don't remember hearing about folks getting this uptight/possessive about remakes back in the 70s.

I can barely acknowledge this as a "remix" but that's the name of it.

lol I think its a musical taste.

Gonna tell you something , I HATE remixes confused , they ruin the original songs for me , I try to forget every remix for the songs that I do like , some songs should be left untouched, that was not the case with this song and few others , but in general remixes ruin the song for me.
