Karyn White

So i just discovered here(well i wasn't born around that year). I really dig that dancey late eighties sound. can anyone recommend more of that stuff?

So far, my favorite sounds from karyn white
are
Romantic
Secret Rendenzvous
The Way I feel

im not sure, what i liked about that type of that sound.
maybe the keyboards, maybe the drum machines..

The former Mrs. Terry Lewis, had some great songs back then.

Get her first two albums, Karyn White (1988) and Ritual of Love (1991), and crank them up.

Her best song:

headbang headbang this was THE JAM back then! LA and BabyFace gave her one of their most infectious grooves.

Once every while a Karyn Whte thread is made on this forum and i have to reply each time because i love her so much.

I'd do anything to see her live - even if it was in my backroom.

Love me some Karyn White. Great voice, fun tunes and she's seriously fine (that French maid outfit in "The Way I Feel About You" video... ouch!). You definitely need to check out her first two albums. If you can find a copy of jazz artist Jeff Lorber's "Private Passion" album from 1986, she debuted as a "lead" singer on this album (I think she has about three lead vocals on there). The best of the three with Lorber would be this one...

I've been listening to "Ritual of Love" a lot. I didn't care for the album when it came out, but as I listen to it now, it really is a good album.

Hooked On You was my favorite.
