70s R&B slow groove of the day: "Just As Long As We Have Love" by the Spinners and Dionne Warwick (1975)

a standout track from the 'Pick Of The Litter' LP music Thom Bell is such an incredible producer...this song is lush and dreamy.

I have been playing this song a lot lately. I just bought the spinners "8"
album which is so good.

This song originally appeared on the B-side of the Spinners/Warwick single "Then Came You",which reached Number One in the summer of '74.When that song became a huge success,Atlantic Records wanted Dionne to record an entire album with the group, but she declined. If you listen to the 'Pick Of The Litter' LP,you can see that some of those songs were intended to be duets."Games People Play",for example. That one actually features a female vocalist.
