Songs that could be by Prince ...but aren't?
The first time I heard "Hard Day" from George Michael's Faith, I automatically thought it sounded very much like a P song, esp the end which is sung in a Camille voice... any others? I'm the first mammal to wear pants. | |

"Rush,Rush" Paula Abdul&I did hear something years ago about this song but it ain't no biggie but it sure sounds like Prince all over it IMHO.Ryhthm Syndicate "P.A.S.S.I,O,N" very influenced Jam there&they worked with St Paul Peterson back in the day as well.off the Deele's "Eyez of s Stranger" Album the cut "So Many Thangz" has the Suspect Minneapolis Groove there. mistermaxxx | |

I can't seem to find any info on the latter, though. allmusic.com doesn't even have a profile on him. Methinks he might be flippin' burgers at Jack-in-the-Box these days. In my opinion, this sounds a lot like George... probably the same thing that happened with Camille... George's vocals were sped up to sound more feminine... I'm the first mammal to wear pants. | |

Came out at the same time 'Gett Off' did on radio when I was listening day in- day out to hear it...'Tenessee' came on and I was like "ooh this must be it!" LOL... JANE CHILD-"Don't Wanna Fall in Love" I for sure thought this was a Paisley Park artist or a Prince produced single... SHALAMAR-"Games" & "Circumstantial Evidence" Obvious rip-offs...Mikki Free (lead singer) was a Prince wanna be...I remember him wearing a denim jacket much like P's SOTT jacket...(peace signs, beads, and all) NICOLE RENEE-"Telephone" Very...very...VERY Prince inspired...heck most of her album was...but it was a good one at that!
