D'Angelo - Voodoo: 10-Year Anniversary Thread I was too busy to start this last week, but January 25, 2000 was the long-awaited release date for D'Angelo's follow-up to Brown Sugar. Give it up for Voodoo, a critical and commercial success that may be almost as polarizing as it is popular!

It's too bad he didn't ride that wave of momentum with a James River follow-up or even live DVD or live album from the Voodoo tour, which was classic by the way.

Great album, great tour, great artist. I saw the Voodoo concert in Hamburg in 2001....( or 2000?).
