Rihanna's Redemption Song (For Haiti Relief)

Rihanna's Redemption Song (For Haiti Relief) [Live from Oprah] - Single

Just found this in iTunes, it says it was released on Jan 19, 2010

Did you see it, have you heard it? Are you going to buy it? What do you all think - not just of the song/music quality, but also the initiative?
Just curious!..

didn't see it. just heard it here.

would like to, but not on download.

i think it's a nice cover. she did a good job.

i think music is one of the best ways to lend support. good for Rihanna, Oprah, the Haitian people and all of us.

I prefer Ms Dynamite's cover

Rihanna singing "Redemption Song" on Oprah

I like Rihanna's music and think it's great that she is doing what she can to help out the Haiti earthquake relief efforts, but i'd be lying if I said I thought her version of "Redemption Song" was good. She totally stripped away all of the emotion in that song. Didn't enjoy it and was not moved by her version at all, but her efforts are commendable.
"And When The Groove Is Dead And Gone, You Know That Love Survives, So We Can Rock Forever" RIP MJ heart

"Baby, that was much too fast"...Goodnight dear sweet Prince. I'll love you always heart

I bought it...might not be the best version, I prefer Lauryn Hill's version with Ziggy, better yet the ORIGINAL Bob Marley version...but hey it's for a great cause. More importantly where is Prince's contribution for the relief efforts, instead we get a lame ass Vikings fight song. confused

Thank you for posting the vid, cinnamon, hadn't even found time to look for it.

And I'm glad to learn that Lauryn Hill did her own version too, she is one of my favorite artists, so that's great, I'll check it!

Oh dear!...

I just checked Rihanna's version on Oprah and then straight after that Lauryn Hill & Ziggi's, and... I have to say Rihanna's is terrible!..
But I agree her action is laudable.
