No one ever remembers this one. I remember them on American Bandstand, too. One of the guys was on the Showtime series, This American Life a couple of years ago. He's wacky at this point.

I once did a thread on this song and only got two responses I remember seeing the video on MTV in 1982 and I thought for sure that this would become a big hit.The chorus/hook is addictive.

This is a catchy tune, but a weak chorus. I like the talk box, though:



The Del-Lords were, IMO, the best American Band outside of Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band. These guys won every critics poll you could think of but never hit it big:



And man, Jason and the Scorchers - could THESE guys rock. I mean, they flat-out GOT IT live. Warner E. Hodges is the guitarist's name, and he was freaking FIRE. Watch this and tell me I'm wrong:
