Different local officials, health care providers, and Haitian community members spoke during the event. But from the moment I walked in to the moment I left, there was a dj playing Caribbean and African music. At a point there was even drumming. People were dancing and having a ball, including many Haitians. The place was packed and everyone seemed ok with it. I guess its different when its a local community.
