Fleetwood Mac so my love for FM has only been increasing lately. I've always been a fan, they've made some of the greatest pop/rock albums in history, but lately i've been really appreciating them even more.
I've started listening to some of the pre Stevie/Lindsay albums like Bare Trees and Mystery To Me and there is some amazing stuff I'd never heard before. Any Fleetwood Mac fans here?? favorite albums, songs? * * *

I agree, that is such a great album. Incredible songwriting. I'm not sure if its my favorite, though - hard to choose between self-titled, Rumours and Tusk. * * *

Funny thing is back in the day,,,age alert:),,,I didn't care for them so much.
My sister loved them though. But now after careful consideration, I realize I like them alot.I love Lindsey Buckingham. Tusk and Rumours are faves. Also have you heard their last studio album Say You Will? Keep in mind no Christine so that element is missing but other than that it's a great album.Imo. Kinda dark and heavy for FM. But an overlooked great album. Fantasy is reality in the world today. But I'll keep hangin in there, that is the only way.

It doesn't really sound like a Fleetwood Mac album to me... more like a Lindsay solo album and a Stevie solo album blended together on one disc. That said, I still enjoy it... was alot to absorb when it first came out because its so long, but i like it better now. * * *

Any Fleetwood Mac fans here?? favorite albums, songs? Oh, how I love the Mac! I always liked them, but something happened two years ago where I just fell even more deeply in love with them. I was watching video clips and listening to everything. I love the Stevie/Lindsay stuff the best. I even listen to some Buckingham Nicks stuff. FM was a group of amazingly gifted artists who came together at the right time in their lives and created magic. Here are some of my favorites: I'm So Afraid Silver Springs Storms Dreams Crystal Beautiful Child Landslide I Don't Wanna Know Never Going Back Again (I almost fainted when Prince performed this one!) Long Distance Winner - Buckingham Nicks Go Insanse - Lindsay Buckingham (The acoustic version is fantastic also.) Bella Donna - Stevie Nicks Stand Back - Stevie Nicks Leather and Lace - Stevie Nicks and Don Henley perfection is a fallacy of the imagination...

But an overlooked great album. That's funny. My sister copied my iPod and out of nowhere one day she called me and said, hey this Fleetwood Mac is really good. She said they had some really well written songs. She said she knew that I liked them but never paid as much attention to them. That was the first time she listened to a playlist of their songs. I was just happy I had someone to talk about the Mac with! Actually, my brother, who is nine years older than me actually got me into them a long time ago with one of their greatest hits albums, but a couple years I go I really went all in. Fleetwood Mac are an amazingly talented group of musicians. I've been a fan for 30 years. All members have brought something to this group. Awesome.

Fleetwood Mac is one of my favorite bands of all time. I adore Stevie Nicks, and Lindsey is still freaking hot (and an incredibly talented and vastly underrated guitarist). I like Christine McVie just fine, but I don't miss her. I'd certainly welcome her back on a tour, but I don't think Say You Will suffered from her absence. (Say You Will took a little bit to grow on me, but once it did, I really began to see its brilliance.)

Thanks for being one of the few that acknowledges there was a Fleetwood Mac prior to the Buckingham/Nicks era. It's where the original Black Magic Woman... ...(thanks to guitarist Peter Green) came from. Another couple of nice cuts were... ...Sentimental Lady & Hypnotized by Bob Welch Music for adventurous listeners tA Tribal Records "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn. It never really moved me like the post-B/N work. I don't think it's as consistently amazing, by a long shot. There was just a perfect chemistry w/ the Rumours-era group. But Mystery to Me is a great record in its own right, has a very nice vibe to it. And there are good things on all the other records, as well. * * *

I discovered them in the late 80's with the release of the songs Big Love, Everywhere, Little Lies, and Seven Wonders. I saw them last year and I had a really good time, and fell in love with the songs Storms and Silver Springs.
Other faves: Rhiannon Dreams Sara Over My Head Gypsy Go Your Own Way The Chain "Funkyslsistah… you ain't funky at all, you just a little ol' prude"!

They're never going to be a "favourite" band of mine, but I like quite a few of their songs.
Buckingham/ Nicks era - I love Rhiannon, The Chain - and Buckingham's solo version of Big Love from the reunion era onwards is simply stunning. A masterpiece. My favourite pre-B/N song of theirs is Need Your Love So Bad. Coincidentally, I found out today that Christine McVie (or Christine Perfect, as she was then) grew up in the very town in which I live. This is not an exit
