Maroon 5 makes these trailers for their upcoming albums. They did a few for their last album, It Won't Be Soon Before Long. The above video if the 5th trailer for their upcoming album, due out very soon. It's a bit tongue n' cheek, edited to look like an epic, period piece, movie trailer. I noticed that Robert "Mutt" Lange is the producer on this record. THAT excites me. Mutt has done some wonderful work with a lot of bands in the past, including pulling Def Leppard from just another heavy metal/rock band to uberstar status.

M5 haven't let any music out yet for us to hear, but I'm quite anxious to see what they've come up with. I didn't like Songs About Jane, but I really got into their last album, and enjoyed it. They have seven B-sides floating out there which I gathered over time. Six of them were released on the Deluxe Edition of the album (also included a DVD). For me, the B-sides are just as much a part of the album, as the released configuration of the album. They've definitely grown as artists in the past, and my hopes are high for their new effort, oddly only their 3rd studio album, but 5th over all I think. (I know they had a remix album, which was horrible, and a live album called Friday The 13th.)

I remember a short interview with him and another band member after their first album was out. It was "If you had to choose sex or rock 'n roll, which one would you choose for the rest of your life?"

The other band member said "Music, definitely." Without missing a beat or blinking an eye, Adam said, "Sex." The band mate was like "Really?!" Adam said, "Oh definitely. I'd much rather have sex." I knew then he was a sex god.

Funny, I was just listening to them earlier today and wondering what they were coming out with something new. Still heart Songs About Jane.
