Michael Jackson: HIStory of superstar's unreleased songs

Veteran engineer and producer Bruce Swedien, a longtime Jackson and Quincy Jones colleague who worked on Off the Wall and Thriller, says he and Jackson had "experimented" with classical music but had "a bunch of things in the works" in more of a pop vein. "There were pieces of music that I think would have been wonderful."

Swedien, whose book In the Studio With Michael Jackson arrives July 27, describes one unreleased song, Don't Be Messin' Around, as "a medium-tempo piece, with Jackson playing piano. And he does it well."

So Randy is going to be the only original judge left?

Is Simon going to leave Britain's got Talent too?

you stated that mj was not a true artist, and used madonna as a comparison to him, b/c she picked up a guitar and learned a few chords.

Nope, I never said that. Why the fuck would I claim MJ wasn't a true artist? Don't be a dildo about it. READ, COMPREHEND, then comment.

I think Latoya would make a great judge. She'd be a good replacement for wacky Paula.

I agree. Latoya has a great, wacky personality. I think she'd be a lot of fun to watch.

you imply that the a.i. folks should be considered true artists, b/c, after all, mj and whitney, who do not play instruments, are considered as such. your dismissive and cutting remark that even madonna learned to play a few chords reveals your true thoughts on the matter; that while others may consider mj and whitney true artists, *you* don't think they are b/c if they were 'true artists', they would play instruments (i see you have no comment on the bruce swedien quote. interesting.)

moreover, as gray pointed out, you tried to marginalized the achievements of the j5 and even prince by pointing out that they too were in talent shows, dragging them down the level of a.i. contestants. that is in no way an accurate comparison for many reasons not the least of which having to do with the things gray mentioned. the fact that the j5 or prince may have competed in talent shows in no way accurately reflects the breadth of their experiences in paying their dues and catching a break in show business when compared to these a.i peeps. apples and oranges.

i am comprehending. i read what you said and understood the underlying context, meaning and implications behind it as well. you're the dildo.

Your reply is ignorant, but I have to consider the source. If you think I'm considering MJ NOT a true artist...then you are getting the reward of your efforts here. Good luck on that.

Paula and Simon were a perfectly balanced act. He very dry and her very flaky. Now if they keep Ellen they have to find someone that balances her. I have no idea who that would be. Marilyn Manson maybe? Someone off the wall but NOT cute, ellen's got the cute and sweet part already.

She couldn't handle the press. They would rip her to shredds. She would be going home crying every week.

Hell, when she co-hosted The View last year, she got pissed because people dissed her clothes she chose to wear. Imagine how she would act on idol?!

Got a question about one of the judges: Did Simon ever work as a vocal coach or any other type of job related to singing? As far as I know, none, but I'd like to hear from those who know more about him. The way he critiques the contestants, I always thought he was once a vocal coach, if not now.
